Township Economy Awards to celebrate Township businesses and honour entrepreneurial excellence

The Township Entrepreneurs Alliance is pleased to announce the finalists for the highly anticipated Township Economy Awards 2024, set to take place on 23 November 2024 in Kopanong Section, Tembisa.

The Township Economy Awards aim to celebrate innovation, resilience, and excellence within South Africa’s township businesses. Hosted by TEA, the event honours impactful entrepreneurs driving economic growth and creating opportunities across diverse sectors.

These are the finalists that represent the 14 categories, selected for their outstanding economic contributions

Bulelani Balabala, founder of TEA, highlighted the importance of the awards in recognising the contributions of township entrepreneurs:
